Changes to Binter Flight Schedule for Lanzarote

The two weekly flights that connected Lanzarote with La Palma last winter, offering a capacity for 140 passengers per week, have been removed from Binter’s schedule for this year. Consequently, direct connections between the Island of Volcanoes and the Beautiful Island will be unavailable from late October until late March.

Potential Impact on Summer Flights

Additionally, the seven weekly flights that connect both islands during the summer may also be at risk for the upcoming season. The occupancy rate of flights linking the islands between January and August was 40.5% lower compared to last year, according to data provided by the Lanzarote Data Centre.

In 2024, 12,017 passengers were recorded, whereas the first eight months of this year show a total of 7,152 travellers.

Adjustments to Gran Canaria Flights

Binter has also reduced the number of weekly flights between Lanzarote and Gran Canaria for this winter season, decreasing from 115 last year to 112 this year. This adjustment results in a weekly capacity of 7,350 seats.

Increased Flights to Tenerife

In contrast, connections between César Manrique and Tenerife Norte have increased from 52 flights per week last winter to 58 this year, raising the capacity to nearly 4,000 seats.

Tenerife Sur maintains its fourteen direct connections with Lanzarote, offering a weekly capacity of 980 seats.
