The General Directorate of Blood Donation and Haematotherapy from the Canarian Health Service (SCS) starts this week a summer donation campaign in the Gran Canaria municipality of Agüimes.
Thus, from this Monday until Friday, two mobile units will be available for the local population. Regarding the fixed points of Blood Donation, you can donate blood at the provincial headquarters located at 4 Alfonso XIII street, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, which will be available from 9:15 to 14:15 and from 15:15 to 20:30, except on holidays.
In the municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, the fixed point is located next to the Health Centre of Vecindario, with hours on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:15 to 13:15 and from 17:15 to 20:15; on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 17:15 to 20:15, while on Fridays the hours will be from 10:15 to 13:15.
The public can also go to other points of the Canarian Transfusion Network (without prior appointment) such as the Maternal-Child University Hospital of Canarias, from Monday to Friday, from 10:30 to 13:30; the Gran Canaria Doctor Negrín University Hospital, from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 19:30; and the Gran Canaria Insular University Hospital, where donations can be made from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:30, except on holidays. All these hospitals have a donor access.
Finally, at Hospiten Roca San Agustín, donations can be made by prior telephone appointment, calling 928 730 362 (option 8), from Monday to Wednesday, from 8:00 to 14:00 (except on holidays).
