Roadworks Scheduled in La Laguna This Week
The Department of Works, Infrastructure, and Accessibility of La Laguna Town Hall has scheduled various resurfacing and refurbishment works this week on three streets in the municipality. These interventions are part of the annual planning by the Council aimed at improving traffic circulation across the six districts.
The councillor responsible for the area, Ángel Chinea, explained that “these works not only help us improve road conditions, fix damages, and prevent any incidents on La Laguna’s roads, but also address issues identified in pavements, public furniture, and even in supply and sewage systems that serve the area, fulfilling direct requests from the citizens.”
The first project commenced on Monday along a stretch of Volcán Etna street, located in the Las Chumberas area. This work is expected to last for three days, depending on favourable weather conditions for the settling of the new surface layer.
A similar work plan will begin on Los Huaracheros street, close to La Rúa path, starting from 24 September, and on Mateo Galván Rojas street (El Bronco-Lomo Largo) from 25 September. In both instances, the expected duration of these works will be two days.
The Department of Works, Infrastructure, and Accessibility has already informed residents and local businesses operating on these three streets about traffic closures and diversions, temporary parking bans, and other relevant notices.
In addition, La Laguna Town Hall has made available a contact telephone number, 689 502 512, and the email [email protected] for citizens to report any incidents to the local Corporation.
