Efforts to Restore Playa de Los Enojados in Arona

The Playa de Los Enojados, located in the heart of El Fraile, Arona, was the site of an initiative on Friday aimed at restoring its natural environment. A total of 6,800 kilograms of debris and abandoned materials were removed, distributed across seven waste containers.

The operation involved a backhoe, a crane truck, a container truck, and three pick-up vehicles, alongside 12 workers from the Coastal Management Department and external personnel.

Local support was provided by the Arona Local Police, the Civil Guard, the Canary Island Environment Protection Agency, and the Provincial Coastal Service of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

Part of a Broader Municipal Initiative

These activities are part of a municipal plan focusing on prevention and monitoring in coastal zones, aimed at eliminating illegal occupations and waste deposits. The programme includes future actions at other locations along the municipality’s coastline.
