This Saturday, firefighters from the Consortium of Security and Emergencies of the Cabildo successfully rescued an elderly person who had fallen in their home on Góngora Street in Arrecife. The individual was alone and unable to receive assistance from anyone nearby.

According to the Consortium, it was the Emergency Coordination Centre of the Canary Islands Government that requested assistance, informing them about the elderly person who had suffered a fall and could not move. Upon arrival, the firefighters accessed the property swiftly and safely.

Once inside, they located the affected individual and collaborated with the personnel from the Canary Emergency Services (SUC) for immobilisation and subsequent transfer to the medicalised ambulance waiting outside.

Local police officers from Arrecife were also present at the scene.
