According to the report, upon arriving at the scene, it was confirmed that some leaf bases had already detached, posing a risk to pedestrians and drivers in the area. Firefighters, deployed in vehicles Bravo 5 and Eco 3, proceeded to manually remove the parts posing the greatest imminent danger of falling.

To reach the higher points of the palm trees, an aerial platform was used. After several manoeuvres, the structure of the affected specimens was secured. Subsequently, a total of twelve bags of plant debris, each with a capacity of approximately 120 litres, were removed following the area’s clearance.

The operation concluded with the removal of debris from two palm trees in total. Once it was confirmed that there was no additional risk of detachment, the service was deemed complete, and the teams returned to base.

Throughout the operation, Local Police officers remained on-site to ensure safety and manage the flow of pedestrians and vehicles on this busy avenue, one of the most trafficked in Arrecife.
