Emergency Rescue in Puerto del Carmen
Emergencies and Rescues of Lanzarote (EMERLAN) received an alert on Monday regarding two individuals in distress while practising paddle surfing in the El Poril area of Puerto del Carmen.
At 11:35, the team was activated, and the Government of the Canary Islands’ GES-EMERLAN vessel was deployed to facilitate the rescue of two women struggling to return to shore unaided.
The rescued individuals were taken to the port of La Tiñosa in good health, with the operation concluding around 12:20.
