Enhanced Bus Services for Caleta de Famara Festivities in Teguise

The Lanzarote Cabildo, through the Transport and Mobility Area, has approved an increase in intercity bus services to Caleta de Famara, as requested by the Teguise Town Council due to the festivities for Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Mary. This special service will operate over the weekend from 29th to 31st August. The resolution includes special services for line 28 (Arrecife-Teguise-Famara) for both outbound and return journeys.

Supporting Community Mobility

Transport Councillor Miguel Ángel Jiménez stated, “This measure enhances safe and efficient mobility for local residents and visitors during such important dates for the municipality. The collaboration between the Cabildo, Teguise Town Council, and Arrecife Bus S.L. is crucial in providing a quality service that meets the needs of the population. We want everyone to enjoy the festivities without any worries,” remarked the councillor.

Enhanced Transport Options

Teguise Mayor Olivia Duque also noted, “In addition to increasing intercity bus services, we have agreed to reinforce the taxi services during the celebrations, thereby providing more public transport options.”

Furthermore, the service enhancement will include the support of the Local Police to maintain order.

The available schedules and frequencies for Friday, 29th August, to align with the evening festivities are as follows: buses will depart from Arrecife at 22:00, 22:30, 23:30, and 00:00 hours, with return journeys from Caleta de Famara at 01:00, 01:30, 02:30, 03:00, 04:00, 04:30, and 05:00 hours.

For the daytime festivities on Saturday, 30th August, departures from the capital will be at 15:00, 15:30, 16:30, and 17:00 hours, with returns at 23:00, 23:30, 00:30, and 01:00 hours.

Finally, on Sunday, 31st August, coinciding with the daytime festivities, buses will leave Arrecife at 13:00, 14:00, and 14:30 hours, returning at 17:00, 18:00, 18:30, and 19:30 hours.
