The Ayuntamiento de Antigua, through its Sports Department, is organising the first SIM Racing Championship in Fuerteventura, in collaboration with the champion motor team, Manuel Gutiérrez Matoso and Tino Vega Ramos. The final of the first SIM Racing Championship in Fuerteventura will take place with state-of-the-art simulators in Antigua.
This championship offers participants the chance to compete in a simulated rally, culminating in a final held in the square of Antigua, utilising cutting-edge simulators for an exceptional experience.
This marks the first event of its kind on the island, with over a hundred participants signing up for free to ensure maximum involvement. Samuel Torres, the Sports Councillor, noted that 21 finalists will compete on the simulators set up in the square of Antigua this Sunday, 7th September, as part of the patronal festivities programme.
The Mayor of Antigua, Matías Peña, expressed gratitude to representatives of AVR Events and the Deportivo Gutysport Club, Manuel Gutiérrez and Tino Vega, for their innovative and attractive proposal for motorsport enthusiasts.
The top finalists will receive a trophy, as well as a unique experience at Alpe Motor Experience Canarias, featuring a real Car Cross at the Islas Canarias circuit. Additionally, a special draw will be held exclusively for participants of the first SIM Racing Championship Antigua 2025.
