The Lanzarote Consortium for Security and Emergencies has reported that on Saturday, 23 August, a fire broke out in several waste containers located on Montaña Tenesar street, near the Tinajo school.

The alert was received via the Local Police, who were the first to respond, using fire extinguishers to halt the spread of the flames.
Upon arrival, personnel from the Southern Park assisted in extinguishing the fire and successfully brought it under control. The incident resulted in three containers being completely destroyed, with no personal injuries or damage to the nearby school reported.
The Consortium noted that following the intervention, the CECOES and the fire department headquarters were informed before the team returned to base.
