The Lanzarote Consortium for Security and Emergencies intervened on Thursday afternoon, 4 September, at a residence on Guirre Street in the La Costa area (Tinajo), following a report from the Local Police regarding part of the building’s ceiling having collapsed.

The crews from the Central Park, operating with unit Bravo 6 and at level 2 response, arrived shortly after 20:00 hours. Upon arrival, they confirmed that the house was a heritage-protected property with severe structural deterioration: a rear wall was partially collapsed, posing a risk of further collapse.

In light of the situation, the firefighters notified the Local Police and proceeded to cordon off the property to prevent access and ensure safety in the area. The operation concluded once the perimeter was secured.

No injuries were reported.
