Fire in La Matanza de Acentejo Affects Three Individuals

Incident Overview

Three individuals—a 48-year-old man, a 78-year-old man, and a 74-year-old woman—were affected to varying degrees following a fire in the kitchen of a bar in La Matanza de Acentejo, Tenerife. This was reported by the Emergency Coordination Centre and Security of 112 Canarias.

Details of the Fire

The incident occurred around 11:43 AM on Sunday and took place at a bar located on the TF-217 road, near the municipality of La Matanza de Acentejo. Emergency services, including officers from the General Police of the Canary Islands and the Civil Guard, along with Civil Protection units, evacuated the establishment. Meanwhile, Tenerife firefighters were responsible for extinguishing the fire and ventilating the premises.

Medical Assistance

The personnel from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) treated the two men, who were initially reported to be suffering from moderate smoke inhalation. The woman also experienced smoke inhalation, but her condition was classified as mild. All three affected individuals were subsequently transported by ambulance to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
