Firefighters Extinguish Blaze in Playa Honda Property
Firefighters from the Lanzarote Consortium of Safety and Emergencies extinguished a small fire in a residential property in Playa Honda on Saturday, following an alert from the Emergency Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2.
Origin of the Fire
The blaze originated from an electric water heater within the premises. Upon arrival, the crew from the Central Bravo 5 station confirmed that the occupants were already outside and that no one was inside, which allowed for a swift and safe intervention.
Extinguishing the Fire
The firefighters cut off the electrical supply and extinguished the fire using water. Once the fire was under control, they ventilated the property with an electrofan to remove smoke and accumulated gases.
Coordinated Response
The operation also involved local police, the Civil Guard, and the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), with whom they coordinated their efforts.
