Rescue Operation in Montaña Ubigue

Firefighters from the Consortium of Safety and Emergencies of Lanzarote rescued a lost dog on the night of Thursday, in Montaña Ubigue, located in Las Cabreras between the villages of Tahíche and Nazaret, within the municipality of Teguise.

Details of the Incident

The incident occurred around 21:40 on Thursday evening, prompting a unit from the Central Fire Station to head to the area.

Challenging Conditions

After several hours of searching, they successfully located the animal in a difficult-to-access area at the top of the mountain. They proceeded to rescue the dog and later handed it over to the relevant animal protection organisation.

Post-Rescue Actions

Once the intervention was complete, they gathered all pertinent information about the service and sent it to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES).

Collaboration with Local Police

Local Police from Teguise were also present at the scene, actively assisting in the search effort.
