A 67-year-old fisherman from Lanzarote has died this Friday morning in the area of Caldera del Agua.

According to information provided by the Non-Governmental Organisation (EMERLAN), they were alerted at 11:25 am that a fisherman was in trouble. Two rescue vehicles and an ambulance with basic life support were mobilised to the area, along with resources from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), the Local Police, the Security and Emergency Consortium, and the Civil Guard.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, the medical teams confirmed the man’s death. The Civil Guard activated the judicial protocol, and arrangements were made to transfer the body to an area with easy access.
