Five Injured in TF-47 Collision near Callao Salvaje, Adeje

Five individuals were injured, two of whom sustained moderate injuries, following a collision between two cars last night, 7 September, on the TF-47 road, near Callao Salvaje in the municipality of Adeje.

The traffic accident occurred at 21:03 when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES 1-1-2) of the Canary Islands Government received an alert regarding the collision. One of the vehicles had overturned on its side.

After receiving the alert, 1-1-2 promptly activated emergency services, including the Canary Islands Urgent Care Service (SUC), Tenerife Fire Brigade, the Guardia Civil, and the Road Conservation Service.

Personnel from the SUC assessed the five occupants of the vehicles. A 27-year-old woman was diagnosed with a moderate cranial trauma and transported by basic life support ambulance to the Quirón Salud Costa Adeje Hospital. Another 25-year-old woman, with moderate chest trauma, was taken by a medicalised ambulance to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.

The other three individuals sustained minor injuries. A 25-year-old woman with mild multiple bruises was taken to the Quirón Salud Costa Adeje Hospital. The other two men, having sustained various minor injuries to their limbs, were evacuated to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.

In addition to providing medical assistance, the firefighters helped to secure the vehicles, while the Guardia Civil managed traffic, which was affected by the incident, and initiated the necessary procedures to determine the causes of the accident. The Road Service subsequently cleared the roadway once the vehicles had been removed.
