Strengthening Ties for Africagua Canarias 2025
The President of the Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce, Juan Jesús Rodríguez Marichal, held a meeting in Madrid on Thursday with the Ambassador of Senegal to Spain, Ibrahima Al Khalil Seck. The aim was to advance common projects linked to the upcoming Africagua Canarias 2025 forum. The Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce and the Senegalese Embassy are enhancing cooperation in anticipation of Africagua Canarias 2025.
During the meeting, held at the Senegalese diplomatic mission, possible avenues for collaboration were explored in key sectors such as water management, renewable energy, and sustainability policies. The strategic role of Senegal for the Canary Islands in these areas was emphasised. Additionally, they considered the direct involvement of companies and institutions from the African nation in the international event.
Africagua Canarias 2025: A Platform for Connection
Africagua Canarias, scheduled for 20th and 21st November in Fuerteventura, has become a key platform for connecting Africa, Europe, and America to address the challenges of climate change and energy transition. The 2025 edition will be supported by the Government of the Canary Islands, the Island Council, and multilateral organisations.
With this initiative, the Chamber of Commerce and the Senegalese Embassy reaffirm their commitment to creating synergies that promote sustainable development while also offering new internationalisation opportunities for the business sector. The Fuerteventura Chamber of Commerce and the Senegalese Embassy are strengthening cooperation with a view to Africagua Canarias 2025.
