Government of the Canary Islands Grants Premises to Solidarity Venezuela Association to Support Migrant Inclusion

The Canarian Housing Institute, led by Antonio Ortega, has formally handed over a premises to the Venezuela Solidarity Social Association, in collaboration with the General Director of Emigration for the Government of the Canary Islands, José Téllez.

The beneficiary entity is a non-profit organisation dedicated to defending the rights and inclusion of migrant individuals.

The property is located at 6, Group 88 Añaza Housing, in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and has a usable area of 112.61 square metres and a built area of 140.77 square metres, distributed over two floors and including a bathroom.

The handover has been formalised through a resolution from the Canarian Housing Institute, for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of extension.

Through this measure, the Government of the Canary Islands aims to support the Venezuela Solidarity project, which is focused on promoting social, labour, educational, and health inclusion for migrants, encouraging their civic participation, combating racism and institutional discrimination, as well as facilitating administrative regularisation and access to fundamental rights.
