The Town Hall of Granadilla de Abona is progressing with the modernisation of its infrastructure by tendering the drafting of the basic and execution project for the ‘Granadilla Oeste Internal Sewage Network’. The project has a base budget of €149,142 and an execution period of six months.
This initiative is part of the Diagnostics and Proposals for Sanitation Actions (DPS), a plan launched by the Insular Water Council of Tenerife (CIATF) aimed at optimising hydraulic and environmental management in the island’s municipalities.

The Councillor for Works, Municipal Public Services, and the Environment, Marcos Antonio Rodríguez, stated that this project “will mark a turning point for Granadilla town centre. Alongside the upcoming execution of the Granadilla Este project, this plan will enable significant environmental and urban transformations.” He added that “with this tender, the Town Hall reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development of the municipality, investing in comprehensive solutions that benefit both the community and the environment.”
In addition to sewage improvements, the project includes further enhancements in the area. These include optimising supply networks to reduce water losses, implementing stormwater networks, and improving accessibility in the town centre. Provisions will also be made for low voltage and telecommunication conduits, preparing the infrastructure for future developments.
