Haría Town Hall Opens Applications for €2024/2025 Transport Assistance for Students

The Haría Town Council has announced the opening of applications for transport grants for the academic year 2024/2025. This initiative, published today in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Las Palmas No. 115, aims to facilitate travel for young people studying outside the municipality and the island.

Commitment to Youth

The Mayor of Haría, Alfredo Villalba, emphasises the significance of this action as part of the Council’s commitment to the future of the municipality’s youth. “With these grants, we aim to reduce the financial barriers many families face and support our students in their educational journey,” he noted.

Essential Scholarships

Evelia García, the Education Councillor, highlighted that “these scholarships are a fundamental tool to ensure no student misses out on their education.” She reiterated, “We will continue to work towards creating equal opportunities.”

Grant Coverage and Application Process

The grants will cover air, sea, or land transport expenses incurred between 25 July 2024 and 24 July 2025. Students registered in Haría can apply for assistance for enrolment in sixth form, vocational training, university studies, master’s or postgraduate courses.

The deadline for application submissions is one month from the announcement’s publication in the BOP. Applications must be processed through the Town Council’s electronic headquarters.

The application form can be downloaded from the Haría Town Council website under the Forms section. Along with the application form, the requested documentation must be submitted, including proof of identity, enrolment and payment for the course, a certificate of residence, a responsible declaration, and third-party registration.
