Helicopter Rescue for Injured Hiker in Anaga, Tenerife

Rescue Operation Details

A helicopter from the Emergency Services Group (GES) rescued a 24-year-old female hiker on Saturday afternoon after she suffered a fall on the path from Afur to Taborno in the Anaga region of Tenerife, according to information from the Emergency Coordination Centre and Security (Cecoes) 112.

Upon receiving the alert, Tenerife firefighters in the 112 operations room assessed the location of the injured woman, who sustained a moderate injury to her lower limb. It was determined that the rescue would be carried out by air.

Medical Assistance

The air rescue team was dispatched to the scene, where they hoisted the woman aboard and transported her to the Santa Cruz de Tenerife dock. There, an ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was waiting to provide assistance and transport her to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
