Mobile Blood Donation Unit Deploys in Pájara

The General Directorate of Blood Donation and Haemotherapy of the Canarian Health Service (SCS) is launching a mobile unit today in Pájara, aimed at making blood donation accessible to residents and visitors in this municipality of Fuerteventura.

The extraction point will operate from 10:00 to 13:30 and is located next to the Town Hall, at the crossing in front of the church.

Fixed Blood Donation Point in Fuerteventura

The island is also home to a permanent blood donation point, situated at the General Hospital of Fuerteventura, on the Airport Road, kilometre 1, in Puerto del Rosario. This location operates continuously from Monday to Friday, between 11:00 and 13:30. Users can call the information line at 928 546 684 (excluding public holidays).

Requirements for Donating

To be eligible to donate, certain essential requirements must be met. Donors should be between 18 and 65 years old (up to 70 for first-time donors), weigh more than 50 kilograms, be in good general health, and not be pregnant.
