A leisure boat, carrying a nurse, rescued a woman in distress from the sea at Papagayo Beach, located in the south of Lanzarote, as reported by emergency services (112).

The incident took place at midday when the crew of the vessel, notably a woman who identified herself as a nurse, provided initial assistance to the woman, ultimately saving her from drowning in the municipality of Yaiza.

Once ashore at Marina Rubicón, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service continued to assist the affected individual, who was later transported by ambulance to the island’s public hospital. She arrived exhibiting symptoms of moderate near-drowning, without complications reported.
