Lanzarote’s Socialist Party Thanks Hugo Delgado for His Dedication
The Lanzarote Socialist Party wishes to publicly express its gratitude to Hugo Delgado for his commitment, dedication, and responsibility over the past few years. This recognition encompasses his time as a councillor in the Cabildo during the last legislative term, as well as his participation in the current candidacy led by María Dolores Corujo.
Recent Developments
Following the recent resignation of Andrés Stinga as a councillor, Hugo Delgado was poised to join the Socialist Group in the Cabildo. However, personal and professional circumstances have prevented him from taking on this responsibility at present. The party respects and fully understands this decision, which in no way undermines his longstanding commitment to the socialist project and the citizens of Lanzarote and La Graciosa.
Public Acknowledgements
María Dolores Corujo, the Secretary General of the PSOE in Lanzarote and a Member of Parliament, publicly highlighted Delgado’s contributions: “Hugo is an example of commitment, loyalty and indispensable but discreet work. His role as a councillor was vital in promoting progressive policies from the Cabildo, and in this legislature, he has continued to support, as part of the socialist candidacy, the principles we advocate for Lanzarote and La Graciosa. I can only express my gratitude for all he has contributed and will continue to contribute.”
Hugo Delgado’s Response
In turn, Hugo Delgado also conveyed his gratitude towards the party and its insular secretary: “I want to thank the Lanzarote Socialist Party and María Dolores Corujo for the trust they have always placed in me. It has been an honour to be part of this political project and to contribute, from various responsibilities, to the progress of our land. I will always be grateful for the opportunity and the warmth I have received.”
