Iberia Express Boosts Operations in the Canaries
Iberia Express has announced an enhancement of its operations in the Canary Islands with a capacity increase of 5% compared to previous schedules. This translates to nearly 30,000 additional seats between October 2025 and January 2026. The growth is achieved by adding 116 extra flights to its programme and over 150 aircraft upgrades to A321neo planes, allowing for more available seats. Iberia Express strengthens its operations in the Canaries with 30,000 additional seats.
As reported by Diario de Avisos, the airline once again reaffirms its commitment to improving connectivity for the Canary Islands and its residents, helping to promote a tourism model that is less seasonal and more sustainable and responsible in the archipelago.
Enhanced Connections with Tenerife
Iberia Express has particularly bolstered its connections to Tenerife North, increasing the initially planned capacity by over 15,000 seats and offering up to 8 daily flights to Madrid during the winter season. In Tenerife South, the airline has added nearly 850 additional seats, achieving 3 daily flights.
Increased Seats in Gran Canaria
In Gran Canaria, connectivity has been enhanced with almost 8,300 extra seats, including capacity upgrades and 42 additional flights, enabling up to 10 daily connections with Madrid.
Expansion in Other Islands
The airline has also increased its capacity in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and La Palma with an additional 4,500 seats.
