Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace Reopens

The hotel chain has announced the reopening of the Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace. This five-star property, located facing Jandía beach, has undergone a comprehensive transformation.

According to a statement from the hotel group, the aim is to provide “a refuge to enjoy an experience of tranquility, well-being, and connection with the natural surroundings of Fuerteventura.” The establishment offers 437 rooms that have been entirely renovated, featuring designs and textures inspired by the greens and terracottas of the island’s flora, fauna, and landscapes, such as the Tindaya mountain, coupled with the blues of the Atlantic Ocean.

“We are particularly proud of this transformation project, which demonstrates our commitment to the Canary Islands as a prime destination for European travellers. Our goal is to continue offering quality and personalised experiences for our guests while creating value for our employees, partners, and the local community,” explains Finn Ackermann, Chief Commercial Officer of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts.

Guest Facilities

The hotel features four swimming pools, a gym, Spa Sensations, and a diverse culinary offering that includes three restaurants and three bars. Among the new additions is a Star Café open 24 hours, the new Lobby Bar Sansofí with an outdoor terrace, the restaurant alMar, which showcases a beach restaurant concept with a selection of local dishes and views of Jandía beach, as well as an expanded Teppanyaki restaurant Tsukiji with a new menu.

As a result of this renovation, the property promises a premium stay, characteristic of the ‘Selection by Iberostar’ category, aimed at guests travelling as couples or families who seek a relaxing and disconnecting experience.

Connection with Fuerteventura

Regarding its connection to Fuerteventura, the hotel has curated a selection of experiences that invite guests to reconnect with the island at a leisurely pace. For example, aloe vera serves as a common thread throughout the stay, highlighting workshops featuring local products and wellness treatments offered at the hotel.

Sustainable Commitment

The Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace is also progressing with the implementation of the Iberostar Wave of Change, the company’s roadmap for promoting a responsible tourism model that cares for people and the environment. In this way, the hotel chain anticipates employing over 300 people at this establishment.

In line with Iberostar’s global aim to source 100% of its fish and seafood from responsible sources, the hotel collaborates closely with trusted suppliers to meet this commitment. Additionally, it has modernised its facilities to achieve more efficient energy management, operating on 100% renewable electricity to reduce its carbon footprint, thus supporting the company’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.

Efforts towards sustainability also encompass circular economy initiatives, including a pilot project for organic waste management in collaboration with a local composting plant, alongside the continuity of the specialist 3R team (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle).
