Progress After the XXX Rally de Antigua
At the trackside, the Vice President of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Blas Acosta, along with the Mayor of Antigua, Matías Peña, and the Councillor for Sport, Samuel Torres, inspected the excellent condition of the sections traversed by the participating vehicles in the XXX Rally de Antigua.
The repairs were completed by Monday, and this weekend, during our visit to the tracks, we confirmed they are now perfectly settled and even in better condition than before the rally, stated the Mayor.
I thank the Vice President and Councillor for Infrastructure of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Blas Acosta, for his interventions both before and after the XXX Rally de Antigua, using heavy machinery to compact the surface, remove stones, and irrigate the sections to enhance safety for the race while minimising disturbances to nearby homes.
This is a commitment implemented through practical and effective measures, addressing the concerns of residents living close to the race sections, noted Councillor Samuel Torres. Not only does this enhance safety during the event, but once completed, it leaves us with 50 kilometres of tracks and paths that many residents use in their vehicles daily to access their homes, farms, or livestock operations located within the municipality.
