Improving Safety on the TF-113 in Jardina: Infrastructure Upgrades Underway

The aim is to ensure user safety while minimising disruption for local residents and nearby schools.

Tenerife’s Cabildo, through the Roads Department and in coordination with La Laguna City Council, is enhancing safety along the stretch of the TF-113 road at Jardina in Las Mercedes. The project, of public interest and undertaken by E-Distribución Redes Digitales S-LU, involves the installation of electrical conduits over an approximate length of 940 metres, utilising both existing and new infrastructure.

Work commenced last July and is expected to continue until 15 October, coinciding with the start of the school year. To ensure safety in this urban section with high pedestrian traffic, the Roads Department has implemented necessary measures, including the closure of one lane in coordination with San Cristóbal de La Laguna City Council. However, two-way traffic will be maintained along the section of road between PP.KK. 0+670 (TF-13 roundabout) and 0+890 (Camino El Rayo), ensuring local residents have access to their properties.
