The First Iñaki Domínguez Nautical Exhibition in the Canary Islands Draws 5,000 Visitors

The Tenerife Exhibition Centre hosted this pioneering initiative last weekend, featuring a total of 50 companies and 60 stands across 10,000 square metres of nautical sector exhibition space in the islands

The Iñaki Domínguez Nautical Exhibition made its debut last weekend, attracting 5,000 visitors. Manuel Fernández, the Industry Councillor and Vice President of the Exhibition Centre, highlighted that, “with this initiative, we aim to establish Tenerife as a benchmark in the economic and business activities of the nautical sector.”

Fernández emphasised that “we seek to restore visibility and momentum to the nautical sector, which holds significant importance in the Canary Islands.” He noted that “we have had the participation of 50 companies and 60 stands, spread over 10,000 square metres of exhibition space.”

The Vice President of the exhibition institution described the event as “a successful venture, leaving a very positive impression among the exhibitors, who have encouraged us to continue this initiative, as it is the only exhibition of its kind in the Canary Islands.” He also highlighted that “this is one of the new initiatives included in this term’s programming for the Exhibition Centre, alongside ‘Renueva Hogar’ and the Construction Fair.”

The 5,000 visitors at the Iñaki Domínguez Nautical Exhibition were given free access to explore a wide array of displayed vessels, as well as products and services from the auxiliary sector.

This inaugural edition also featured a conference room where talks, presentations, and discussion panels took place, covering topics such as naval repairs and the Canary Islands’ Blue Economy strategy. Additionally, an exhibition space showcased a display of cetaceans from Macaronesia, hosted by the Loro Parque Foundation, featuring inflatable replicas, augmented reality, and awareness-raising activities.

The Cabildo de Tenerife organised this exhibition through the Tenerife Exhibition Institution, with collaboration from significant entities including FEMETE (Provincial Federation of Metal and New Technologies Companies of Santa Cruz de Tenerife), Asnáutica, the Maritime Cluster of the Canary Islands, Turmar Canarias, and Fedesport.
