The Civil Guard initiated a police investigation following a series of high-end perfume thefts reported by the affected company, located in a restricted area of the airport. The company provided clear surveillance footage showing two young women stealing products valued at €1,850. Through meticulous analysis of the recordings and a review of access control logs, security forces were able to identify the alleged perpetrators, who were travelling as passengers on a flight to Tenerife North.

The suspects accessed the restricted area using valid boarding passes, despite the limited time available before their flight, indicating a premeditated and effective operation. Once past security controls, they quickly headed to stores where, without raising suspicion, they stole perfumes from well-known brands, taking advantage of the passenger flow and the trust inherent in the airport environment.

The Fiscal and Border Section at Fuerteventura Airport initiated police proceedings for the alleged theft, which are being continued by the UDAIFF at Tenerife South Airport to further investigate both women, as this unit is closest to their residency.

The proceedings have been forwarded to the Judicial Authority. Two women are being investigated for stealing luxury perfumes from Fuerteventura Airport.
