Agents from the Fiscal Section at Fuerteventura Airport, operating under the functional authority of the Customs and Excise Administration of the Tax Agency, are investigating two women for an alleged theft in airport shops.

The Guardia Civil initiated a police investigation following reports of thefts of high-end perfumes, filed by the affected company, located in a restricted area of the airport.

The company submitted clear CCTV footage showing two young individuals stealing products valued at €1,850.

Through meticulous analysis of the recordings and a review of access control logs, security forces successfully identified the suspects, who were travelling as passengers on a flight to Tenerife North, as noted by the Guardia Civil.

The women accessed the restricted area using valid boarding passes, despite the limited time available before their flight, indicating a planned and effective operation.

Once past security checks, they quickly proceeded to shops where, without raising suspicion, they stole perfumes from well-known brands, taking advantage of passenger flow and the trust associated with the airport environment.

The Fiscal and Border Section at Fuerteventura Airport initiated police proceedings for the alleged theft, which continued with the UDAIFF at Tenerife South Airport, being the nearest unit to their residence.

The proceedings have been forwarded to the Judicial Authority.
