Juventudes Socialistas and FIMAPA Launch Third School Supplies Collection Campaign

The Juventudes Socialistas de Fuerteventura, in collaboration with the Majorera Federation of Parents, Mothers and Students (FIMAPA), is launching the third solidarity campaign for the collection of school supplies. This campaign will take place from 1 to 18 September, aiming to assist families in need to cope with the expenses of returning to school.

The start of the school year incurs an average cost of £400 per child, a financial burden that many families find difficult to manage. Therefore, Juventudes Socialistas and FIMAPA are joining forces to ensure that students on the island have adequate school supplies. All collected items will be distributed in collaboration with AMPA and educational centres in Fuerteventura.

Collection Points

Materials can be donated until the week of 15 September at the following locations:

  • Puerto del Rosario: Calle León y Castillo, 74. Tuesday and Thursday, from 17:00 to 20:00 hours.
  • Morro Jable: Calle Nuestra Señora del Carmen, 26. Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 14:00 hours.

How to Help

Citizens are encouraged to make a selfless donation of school supplies (notebooks, pens, erasers, coloured pencils, backpacks, pencil cases, etc.). While new items are not required, they should be in good condition and useful for students.

Additionally, businesses, institutions, or individuals who wish to participate as collection points in their municipalities or want to learn more about the campaign can contact via telephone at 620 477 547 / 618 257 646 or through the Juventudes Socialistas Instagram account: www.instagram.com/js_fuerteventura.

A Joint Appeal

The Juventudes Socialistas de Fuerteventura and FIMAPA are making a joint appeal to the entire Majorera community to support this charitable initiative.
