Recognition of Talent
The thirteenth edition of the Gáldar International Film Festival will honour Gran Canarian actress Kira Miró with the Guayarmina de Honor 2025, recognising her extensive career as one of the most versatile Spanish actresses in the film and television industry.

Julio Mateo Castillo, the First Deputy Mayor and councillor for Culture at the Gáldar City Council, which oversees the festival, stated, “The Guayarmina de Honor is the most prestigious award of the FIC Gáldar, and we want to ensure that we recognise one of the most significant Canarian actresses of all time, who has established a career filled with successes, leaving us with unforgettable roles in both television series and on the big screen.”

It is invaluable to have such a beloved and charismatic actress promoting our region.”
