Soprano Vanessa Goikoetxea returns to the Auditorium to participate in this production composed by Pedro Halffter
Ópera en minúscula kicks off this Sunday (7th), at 19:30, in the Chamber Hall of the Auditorium of Tenerife with a performance of Klara, an opera in four haikus. Synopsis of Klara
Klara is a state-of-the-art robot, a highly advanced artificial intelligence capable of reasoning and making its own decisions. However, as it explores the world and observes humans, it begins to question its own existence. Klara discovers that, despite its ability to simulate certain emotions such as happiness and fear, there are aspects of the human experience that remain inaccessible, including true sadness and love. Nevertheless, its desire to feel part of humanity leads Klara to explore new ways of thinking and perceiving.
Throughout its journey, Klara faces obstacles and challenges that test its resilience and will. With each step, it discovers something new about itself and the world around it, gradually approaching an understanding of its own humanity. Ultimately, Klara comes to realise that the answer to its question lies not in the form of its body or in its ability to feel emotions, but in its own consciousness and capacity to make decisions and love. In its quest to find its place in the world, Klara illustrates that even beings created by technology can possess their own humanity and soul.
