Special Programme on Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival to Air

The 2 channel of RTVE will air a special programme this Thursday featuring the IX Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival, which took place from 18 to 20 July at San Agustín Beach, attracting over 12,000 spectators. The programme will commence at 00:35 hours (Canary Islands time).
Festival Highlights
Elena Álamo Vega, the Deputy Mayor and head of the Culture department of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, along with producer and director Dania Devora, have successfully established this festival as a key musical event in the Canary Islands every July.
In July, La 2 of TVE previously aired two special 45-minute programmes in the Canary Islands. This Thursday’s broadcast will allow viewers to relive all the live performances that took place over the two concert days of the festival.
Notable Performers
The Maspalomas Costa Canaria Soul Festival brings together the best in international soul music for each edition. The television programme this Thursday will feature performances from San Agustín Beach by Jerome Chism, who led the tribute to the legend Wilson Pickett; Burundian artist J.P. Bimeni & The Black Belts; the iconic Memphis Music Hall Band led by Kurt Clayton; and the impressive voices of Candy Fox, Jonté Mayon, Dani McGhee, Lil Rounds, and Shunta Mosby.
