The aurinegra pre-season takes shape. La Laguna Tenerife has already outlined the dates for its summer training ahead of the start of the 25/26 season.
The Canary Islands squad will begin their medical checks at Hospiten Rambla, in various shifts and gradually, from 18th to 23rd August. Meanwhile, as players arrive on the island, they will undertake individual training at the Pabellón de Deportes de Tenerife Santiago Martín.
The first collective training session is scheduled for Monday, 25th August.
Five friendlies before the Supercup
Txus Vidorreta’s group has scheduled a total of five friendly matches before the official start of the season, which is set for the weekend of 27th and 28th September, coinciding with the Supercup Endesa, in Málaga.
This includes three preparatory matches on the mainland and the usual two clashes with Dreamland Gran Canaria, one away and one at home.
The first test for the aurinegros will take place in Sarriguren (Valle de Egüés, Navarra) next Sunday, 7th September at 11:15 island time, against Casademont Zaragoza. Subsequently, on Thursday, 11th September, they will face Joventut Badalona at 17:30 island time in Olot (Girona); and on Saturday, 13th September, against Morabanc Andorra at 18:00 island time, in Escaldes (Andorra).
Following that, the Tenerife team will tackle two friendlies against Dreamland Gran Canaria. The first, on Thursday, 18th September, away (Gran Canaria Arena, 18:30 hours); and the second, on Sunday, 21st, at Santiago Martin (12:30 hours). The club will provide details regarding ticket sales for this match in the weeks prior.
A week later, over the weekend of 27th and 28th September, the island team will compete in the aforementioned Supercup Endesa, in Málaga.
The Liga Endesa 25/26 will kick off over the weekend of 4th and 5th October, with a schedule that the ACB will publish in the coming weeks. On Wednesday, 8th October, the Canary Islands team will debut in the Basketball Champions League (BCL), specifically in Italy (Sicily), against Trapani Shark at 19:30 island time.
