The Lanzarote Acción Civil platform inaugurated its new social headquarters on Friday, 19 September, located at 158 Juan Negrín Street. The venue, named Space for Peace and Friendship, was launched with an emotive event attended by numerous local residents who gathered to share this special moment.
The atmosphere of the day was filled with enthusiasm and the platform’s commitment to continue building a space open to the community, where coexistence, dialogue, and solidarity take centre stage.
Commitment to Society
Lanzarote Acción Civil, established in April last year, aims to strengthen its position as an active platform in the island’s social life. It has already taken a stance on issues directly affecting the residents of Arrecife, such as the excessive noise from numerous local festivities and the need to optimise public resources demanded by the city today.
Upcoming Cultural Event: Presentation of Antonio Quintana’s New Book
As a first step in this new phase, Lanzarote Acción Civil announces that on 28 October, the ‘Space for Peace and Friendship’ will host the presentation of journalist Antonio Quintana’s new book. This event will kick off the cultural programming of the association, which aims to make the headquarters a vibrant and dynamic meeting point for the Lanzarote community.
“We want to be a voice that contributes, that builds, and always stands by the people. Our goal is simple yet profound: to work together for a fairer, more livable, and more humane Arrecife and Lanzarote,” the platform representatives stated.
