This Saturday, one of the most important and attended events of the festivities will take place, starting from the municipal football pitch at 19:00 hours.

San Bartolomé is preparing for the celebration of the much-anticipated and traditional pilgrimage, part of this year’s Patron Saint Festivities, an event that will see the participation of thousands of people from across Lanzarote who will gather to enjoy and honour the values of the municipality.

The Mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, invites all residents and the island’s population “to this traditional event which, as every year, will become a day of coexistence, fun, passion and respect for the traditions, heritage and history of our municipality.”

Similarly, the Councillor for Festivities, Estefanía Luzardo, reminds us that the route will begin at 19:00 hours at the municipal football pitch, continuing through the streets of Sereno, Rubicón, Calderetas and Párroco San Martín, finishing at Plaza León y Castillo.

Following the pilgrimage, the Dance of the Romero will take place, with Lanzarote Swing and Borrón y Cuenta Nueva providing entertainment for the night, culminating in a popular street party in Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park, featuring Vocal Force, Rika Banda, and DJ Javi Fajardo.

On another note, the Town Hall has announced that a special bus service has been arranged for the street parties during this weekend and next. In order to make the festivities accessible to people across the island and to ensure traffic safety, two extra buses will run in the early hours of 17th and 24th August at 03:15 and 04:15 hours. The route will follow that of line 32, from the Avenida de las Palmeras stop to the Arrecife Bus Station.
