Lanzarote University Tourism School Welcomes Students for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

The Cabildo of Lanzarote, in conjunction with the Lanzarote University School of Tourism (EUTL), held welcome sessions for the academic year 2025-2026 on Tuesday, featuring a programme of activities designed to facilitate student integration and training in a modern, digitalised university environment.

Significance of Quality Education

The Education Councillor, Ascensión Toledo, opened the session by emphasising the importance of such training for the economic and social development of the island. “Quality tourism education is key to the present and future of Lanzarote,” she stated.

“This academic year will enable our students to acquire technical knowledge as well as digital and professional skills, equipping them to lead in a constantly growing sector,” the councillor highlighted.

Programme Overview

During the inaugural session, the management team of the EUTL was introduced, led by Director Eva Crespo Fontes, along with Deputy Director for Academic Organisation, Nereida Cañado Casparrós; Deputy Director for Quality, Desirée León Alberto; and Secretary, Noelia Ramón Pérez.

Subsequently, the students participated in a workshop on the university’s digital environment, covering tools such as the virtual campus, the institutional website, the electronic headquarters, and email services, coordinated by Noelia Ramón Pérez.

The programme continued with an outdoor integration activity, organised by Professor Juan Antonio Carreño, aimed particularly at first-year students, promoting group cohesion and familiarity with the EUTL facilities.
