Organisations, businesses, and media outlets are rallying behind the Asomasame Solidarity Raffle, which kicks off with the campaign “Together We Heal”. The initiative was unveiled on the morning of Wednesday, 20th August, during an event featuring Ana Trujillo, the president of the association, Daniela Plotegher, president of the Puerto del Rosario Business Association, the mayor of Puerto del Rosario, David de Vera, and the social action councillor of the Cabildo, Víctor Alonso.

From the Puerto del Rosario Business Association, a message of support was conveyed to the Majorera Association for Mental Health, inviting the community to participate in this campaign, which is selling raffle tickets for one euro in local businesses throughout the capital.

Participants will have the chance to win attractive prizes, including five gift vouchers worth 250 euros each, or six bundles of products and services valued at over 170 euros. Tickets will be available from 20th August until 30th October, with the draw scheduled for 4th November 2025. Support for Commerce and Emotional Wellbeing

The “Together We Heal, Mental Health and Local Commerce” campaign also serves as an incentive to engage with local businesses and stimulate economic activity in Puerto del Rosario, aiming to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining emotional and psychological wellbeing.

Asomasamen highlighted that the funds raised will support ongoing programmes designed to provide assistance during difficult times, as well as prevention activities in classrooms for children and adolescents, enabling them to “understand what mental health is and how to take care of themselves to avoid reaching a critical stage,” explained Ana Trujillo, the president.

Daniela Plotegher from the Business Association underscored the human aspect of the campaign: “Local commerce is not only about business; it also embodies the solidarity that supports such initiatives.”

Mayor David de Vera emphasised the dual nature of the initiative, highlighting its role in promoting small businesses, not only in economic stimulation but also as a source of solidarity through Asomasamen.

Finally, Víctor Alonso, the social action councillor of the Cabildo, commended the work of the social entity, describing it as “a bastion that has guided our roadmap for addressing the issues faced by these individuals.”

The campaign is supported by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, the Puerto del Rosario City Council, and a wide range of local businesses in the capital.
