Local Police Intercept Refrigerated Vehicle Exceeding Temperature Regulations
Temperature Violation Detected
The municipal authorities have stated that “the requirement” is for the temperature to be -18 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, the Local Police of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria intercepted a refrigerated vehicle with a cargo compartment temperature of 15ºC, “when the obligatory standard is -18ºC,” as reported by the municipal body on its social media channels.
During a routine check, officers stopped the delivery truck and discovered that the goods showed signs of thawing.
Risks of Ignoring Cold Chain Regulations
The Local Police of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria warns that violating the cold chain can jeopardise food safety and consumer health.
