M Oznari: Underground Electronics, Glitch Poetry, and Emotional Performance Under Malpaís Records
The multidisciplinary artist based in Lanzarote releases the single Nube with the island label
The record label Malpaís Records, located in Lanzarote, has added M Oznari to its roster. This non-binary artist blends underground electronics, glitch poetry, and emotional performance. Nube marks the release of their first single, with their birth name Iranzo, who has established themselves within the island’s music scene and beyond, embracing a diverse artistic practice that spans music, dance, video creation, and activism.
An Eclectic Musical Style
M Oznari’s sound traverses the realms of spoken word, glitch poetry, maximalist and underground electronics, and emotional performance. Since emerging as Iranzo with the album Iranzonica (2016), they have released six works. Subsequent titles include Eudaimocracia (2018) and P4N D3 M1 C4 (2021), among others, under their new artistic name.
Career and Collaborations
In recent years, M Oznari has collaborated with artists such as Nekane García and Amalia Robin, and has performed alongside the collective 8KADOS in Lanzarote. They have also appeared at notable festivals like LALA Fest (Tenerife) and El Sótano Analógico (Gran Canaria).
