Serious Accident on Arinaga Coast

Incident Overview

The incident occurred around 12:30 PM this Sunday. A 50-year-old man sustained serious injuries after falling onto a rocky area along the Arinaga coast, within the municipality of Agüimes, Gran Canaria, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

Rescue Operation

Firefighters from the Emergency Consortium, assisted by lifeguards from the area, successfully rescued the injured man from his location.

Medical Assistance

The Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) attended to the man, who had sustained multiple severe injuries. He was subsequently transported by a medicalised ambulance to the University Hospital of Gran Canaria.

Law Enforcement Involvement

Finally, the Civil Guard and Local Police attended to the necessary procedures and collaborated with the other services involved.
