Approximately 250 people, according to police data, participated this Saturday in the Night March organised in La Laguna by the Global Movement for Gaza.

The event aimed to demonstrate support for Palestine, call for an end to the offensive in Gaza, and back the Global Sumud Flotilla, which is preparing the second and final phase of its journey to break the blockade on humanitarian aid.

The gathering commenced at the Plaza del Adelantado, from where attendees marched down Calle Carrera. During the route, they received applause and gestures of support from people in the nearby terraces and leisure areas.

The march concluded at the Iglesia de La Concepción, where banners and flags were displayed, and messages of solidarity were read aloud. The event ended with the participants chanting the slogan: “Freedom for Palestine.”
