A 53-year-old motorist was injured on Monday following a head-on collision with a car on the TF-82 road, near kilometre 19, in the municipality of Santiago del Teide.
The traffic accident occurred at 11:45 AM, prompting emergency services to respond after an alert was received by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES 112) of the Canary Islands Government.
A basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was dispatched to the scene to assist the injured man. Medical personnel assessed him as having various moderate injuries, and he was subsequently transferred to the Hospiten Sur University Hospital.
Also responding to the incident were the Tenerife Firefighters, who undertook the clearance of the road and assisted the medical teams, along with the Civil Guard, which carried out the necessary report.
