The Culture Department of the Ayuntamiento de Pájara has positively assessed the recently concluded XXXI Playa de la Cebada Cultural Week, held in Morro Jable.

The programme for this edition featured concerts by top-level artists, theatre performances, workshops, sports activities, and family-friendly proposals, all of which attracted significant participation from locals and visitors alike. This has solidified the Playa de la Cebada Cultural Week as one of the most important cultural events in the Canary Islands.

Strong Community Engagement

The councillor in charge, Raquel Acosta, emphasised that “it has been a week we view very positively, both due to the high turnout and citizen involvement. From the beginning, we were clear that it should be a space for fun, connection, and community, and that is exactly what we experienced. The beach and the square were bustling with people every day, and the atmosphere was incredible,” she stated.

Team Effort

Additionally, Acosta highlighted the efforts of the Cultural team at the Ayuntamiento, whose dedication was key to the success of this edition, along with the support of all councillors and the mayor in organising and developing the event.

A Cultural Asset for Pájara

Mayor Alejandro Jorge underscored the significance of this event for the municipality. “This cultural week has once again demonstrated that Pájara possesses immense cultural, social, and tourist potential. Playa de la Cebada has transformed into a place for coexistence and collective enjoyment,” he remarked.

Looking Ahead

The Ayuntamiento de Pájara is already working on the next edition of the Playa de la Cebada Cultural Week, committed to strengthening this event as a cultural reference point for the island of Fuerteventura.
