Negligence in the Teide National Park appears to be on the rise. Just days ago, it was reported that the Civil Guard had issued fines to eight individuals for reckless driving in the area. Now, a video has surfaced on social media showing a barber cutting hair for clients in this natural setting.
The surreal aspect of this situation is that the barber himself published the video on his TikTok account, @belgium.barber.te, likely as a form of advertisement for his businesses in the south of the island. He seems to disregard the fact that such activities are prohibited in a natural area, leading some viewers to comment their intention to report him to the appropriate authorities.
In the 31-second video, the barber transforms the National Park into a beauty salon, cutting the hair of at least two clients.
Road Safety Concerns
However, the implications extend beyond environmental damage. This scenario also poses a serious road safety issue, as one of the individuals having their hair cut is situated in the middle of the road running through the park.
At one point in the video, while he is cutting hair, a group of quad bikers are seen having to swerve to avoid an accident.
