Phe Festival 2025 concluded its tenth anniversary celebration last weekend in Puerto de la Cruz, once again establishing itself as a musical benchmark in the Canary Islands. Over two days, the event combined concerts and performances with various parallel activities, attracting approximately 10,000 attendees.
This edition largely met the organisers’ expectations in terms of its musical offerings, showcasing an eclectic lineup of international, national, and local artists. This year, the festival successfully drawn in new audiences through the launch of Phe Club and the new stages Faro and Deichmann, which focused on dance music and witnessed significant attendance throughout all scheduled performances.
Among the standout acts of 2025, Judeline emerged as a notable highlight. The Jerez-born artist showcased why she represents the voice of a new generation of fans to whom Phe Festival opened its doors this year. “Judeline is an emerging phenomenon in the national scene that transcends borders,” stated the organisers, praising her performance in Puerto de la Cruz.
In a similar vein, Samuraï also stirred excitement among his fans, who flocked in numbers to enjoy his music during the festival.
The presence of New York band Nada Surf and French act Rinôçérôse proved to be one of the highlights of this edition. The power pop and rock of Nada Surf delivered a concert that will be remembered in Phe Festival history, while the guitar-driven house of Rinôçérôse elicited a vibrant collective dance during the closing, featuring classics like Le mobilier.
A special mention goes to Lanzarote musician and producer Ale Acosta, who presented his first solo work, El porvenir, released last year. His performance became a masterclass in blending tradition with electronic beats, taking popular music into unexplored sonic territories.
Among national artists, Dorian and Carlangas impressed with engaging live performances; Cycle delivered the perfect electro-rock mixture for dancing; and Ganges participated thanks to a collaboration with the The Spanish Wave programme. Canarian musicians also played a significant role, receiving strong audience support and demonstrating their potential, as seen with Los Bloody, San Tosielo, and Nave Rota.
The tenth anniversary edition also brought the expansion of the port venue where the festival takes place, reflecting the organisers’ commitment to offering simultaneous programming across three stages, reserving the main stage for live performances. This setup facilitated audience mobility and allowed for a diverse range of musical experiences.
Dancing at Phe Club
The launch of Phe Club, featuring its two stages Faro and Deichmann, met the organisers’ expectations. The new electronic pulse of Phe Club brought together artists of the calibre of Erol Alkan, Sugar Free, Posthuman, Nightwave, Alinka, and Optmino (Espacio), among others, who delighted the audience throughout the festival’s two days.
The parallel activities programme saw high participation, both during the festival week and on the weekend. Phe Festival extends beyond music, transforming the municipality into a hub for yoga, health, and wellness workshops; extreme sports events like the VI Aqualia BMX Waterjump; wine tastings with Phe Wine; and other artistic initiatives such as Phe Gallery, showcasing the work of emerging artists.
Phe Festival 2025 reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability, the circular economy, and environmental care through the Phe Circular initiative aimed at cleaning marine environments, in addition to organising an informative day. In 2024, the festival was recognised as one of the most sustainable in Spain, receiving the AGF (A Greener Future) certification.
The city’s mayor, Leopoldo Afonso, highlighted that “Phe Festival has once again demonstrated in this tenth edition that Puerto de la Cruz is a cultural and musical reference point in the Canary Islands. We not only welcomed thousands of people in a vibrant and safe environment, but we also projected the image of a modern municipality, open and committed to creativity and talent.”
