The Biosphere Reserve Offers the Viewing of the Documentary “Reserva de la Sonosfera” on Its Website
Those interested in experiencing Carlos de Hita’s work on the voices of Lanzarote can access the audiovisual piece at https://lanzarotebiosfera.org/
The Biosphere Reserve of Lanzarote provides free access to the audiovisual work, “Reserva de la Sonosfera”, by writer, screenwriter, sound artist, and natural sound technician Carlos de Hita, via its website https://lanzarotebiosfera.org/.
This original suite premiered in 2024 and has been screened several times a week at the Jameos del Agua auditorium since then.

The collaboration between the Biosphere Reserve office of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and the Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism (CACT) resulted in the recording and montage of this journey through the natural spaces of the region, showcasing how nature narrates itself.
The final document, lasting 20 minutes, features a selection of images from the island’s “most talkative” locations, with the soundtrack being the island’s own narrative.
Samuel Martín, a representative of the Biosphere Reserve, invites both locals and tourists to visit the website: “Now, escaping the noise and enjoying the poetry of the images and the unique voices of the island—such as the alisio wind among the aulagas, the rustling of a windmill’s blades, the rustle of palm leaves, or the crashing waves against the shores—is available to anyone interested around the world through this platform.”
