To adjust the public bus and tram transport offer to the heightened demand following the end of the most significant and prolonged holiday period of the year, particularly with the start of the school year, the two public companies of the Cabildo in this sector, Titsa and Metrotenerife, will implement new schedules for buses and trams on the Island and in the Metropolitan area starting tomorrow.
The changes introduced by Titsa will affect lines 100 and 103, which connect Puerto de la Cruz with Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna. The 100 line (Puerto de la Cruz Station – Santa Cruz Interchange direct) will maintain its direct route and increase its frequency to every thirty minutes while also operating on weekends. Although it will not enter La Laguna, it will stop at the Interchange at the Guajara Campus, Santiago Martín Pavilion, University Hospital of Canarias, Nuevo Obrero, Hospital Nuestra Señora de Candelaria, Fray Luis de Granada, Meridiano Shopping Centre, and Santa Cruz Interchange.
The 103 line (Puerto de la Cruz Station – La Laguna Interchange direct) will modify its route and will not reach the capital. It will connect both points directly, increasing the availability of seats.
Travellers wishing to connect with Santa Cruz or La Laguna from stops located on the North Highway will still have access to line 102 (Puerto de la Cruz Station via Las Arenas, stops TF-5, La Laguna Interchange, stops TF-5, Santa Cruz Interchange), with no changes.
